On August 14th, 2020 at 10:34am, I bravely hit the publish button so the first post of the Breadcrumb Trail could be set free. It was also the weekend I was baptized. Coincidentally, the name of that first post was “Let Freedom Ring.” That day I shared,
“Freedom is a concept which has motivated me in many situations throughout my life. I didn’t realize it at the time, but freedom was the desired outcome of quitting a substance abuse problem, paying off all my debt, leaving a respectable career to become an entrepreneur, and even doing all the dreadful and painful self-work that was required to overcome some deeply rooted core negative beliefs.
These personal achievements are all quite different from one another and this list is not all inclusive. There is one common denominator across the board though, and that was the desire to feel free.”
I wrote about feeling like my favorite freedom (American freedom) was in jeopardy. I wrote about feeling the need to defend that freedom, while encouraging others to achieve the personal freedoms they seek, through making choices based on courage instead of comfort.
My intent was to lead by example, sharing my own (previously) private stories of trials, tribulations, and victories. I invited anyone and everyone to follow my personal, patriotic, and prayer-filled journey.
As I kick off year 2 with the goal of expanding my reach and formulating a plan to turn BCT into a 501 (c3) Non-Profit organization, I’d like to refresh current readers and introduce new readers to the meaning of Project Breadcrumb Trail.
Project Breadcrumb Trail represents every one of us and the journey through life we all travel.
With life, comes experiences. With experiences, come lessons.
With lessons, comes wisdom. (Hopefully, at least!)
PROJECT:
- Represents our ongoing quest to know better, do better and understand more.
The next year of BCT will include more topics on health and wellness, as well as professional development and financial fitness.
BREADCRUMB(S): Represent two things:
- The lessons of our past and the missing components of our present, that are needed to achieve the future we desire.
- Scripture and the Word of God.
The next year of BCT will include ideas and information to encourage readers to embrace their past experiences and expand their present thinking, so they can evolve and excel in their future.
TRAIL:
- Represents the vision of our personal journey.
- The view from the rear-view mirror, the forks in the road, the unexpected detours and the roads less traveled that are often needed to reach our destination.
The next year of BCT will include stories to influence the direction and navigation of the reader’s journey. I will also continue to share the dirt of my past (voted readers favorite topic) that grew the flowers of my future. My hope is to inspire as many as possible; that a beautiful garden may grow.
Everyone is a slave to something.
As a Non-Profit organization, BCT will provide meals and educational resources based on the founding principles of Christ for those working to break free from addiction. More to come……
As I celebrate the anniversary of my baptism this weekend and the ultimate freedom I have received through Jesus Christ, I pray for the courage of others to break the chains they are bound to and find the freedom they desire.
As a new road is paved to travel this year, may God continue to bless our country and everyone reading. Let Freedom Continue to Ring!
Thanks for following. Please SUBSCRIBE and share Project Breadcrumb Trail with your family and friends.
